smart journeys continues to deliver travel planning initiatives at Northstowe after Travel Plan Coordinator success of Phase 1
smart journeys have been working as Travel Plan Coordinator for Northstowe Phase 1 since 2017. Northstowe phase 1 forms part of the wider Northstowe master plan development, of up to 10,000 houses and apartments and a new Town Centre and amenities. The phase 1 parcel consisted of 1500 new dwellings. smart journeys has played a vital role in running day to day behaviour change promotions and the implementing the actions of the Travel Plan, as well as being the person that helps residents with any transport related questions. The success of this project has seen smart journeys be awarded the Travel Plan Coordinator role for Phase 2 of the development site, consisting of a further 3,500 dwellings
smart journeys is excited about encouraging residents, employees, shoppers, pupils and visitors to travel to and from the proposed 2nd phase of development using sustainable modes and to reduce single occupancy vehicle trips. smart journeys plans to build on the travel planning measures set out for Phase 1 of Northstowe.
